State-of-the-Art Facilities

Help provide uninhibited access to support, programming and facilities for youth and their families suffering from depression and other mental health related concerns.

Access to Support

June 28, 2000 - April 11, 2015

We have enabled the renovation of the existing Child and Teen inpatient unit at North York General Hospital and over raised $1.3 million to develop "Maddie's Healing Gardens" at the new state-of-the-art day clinic for key paediatric ambulatory programs at NYGH's Phillips House.

Shine bright.

In loving memory of Madeline Grace German Coulter.

Raise Awareness
The Maddie Project is a community effort in support of youth struggling with depression and other mental health related concerns.
Raise awareness by starting conversations around the topic of youth depression and mental health concerns.

Maddie died suddenly on Saturday, April 11, 2015. Maddie was the beautiful and treasured daughter of Nicole German and Chris Coulter and beloved big sister to Zachary and Sawyer.

While Maddie's life was much too short, she was fortunate to have had so many wonderful life experiences and to touch so many people in her special way. She was the sparkle in the room that brought laughter and energy to everyone and this is how she will always be remembered.

In thanks for the care Madeline received at North York General Hospital, the German/Coulter families have established a  partnership with the Maddie Project and the North York General Hospital Foundation in Madeline's honour.
